Use of entire house, well-equipped kitchen, patio with gas grill, hammock, washer, and dryer. Finished basement 65-inch TV. 

The home is a 1920 cedar-shingled house, with hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, perennial gardens, large trees, and lots of birds. My goal is to create a welcoming and comfortable space where you are here for several months or a couple of years. The home is nicely furnished with original artwork, comfortable high-quality furnishings, 

The neighborhood is safe and extremely quiet. The only commercial zoned area is along University Avenue, where you can find high-end grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants within walking distance.  This is a very special community, with no blaring TVs or loud music in the house or neighborhood. You can safely walk the streets at any time of day or night. 

I have lived and traveled around the globe, and you will find that I am tolerant and interested in learning and engaging with people from other countries and cultures.

Perfect for international graduate students or visiting scholars. Just bring your clothes and personal needs. Everything else is here. 

I try to create a quiet private space while providing a welcoming home to students and scholars needing a respite from the stress and demands of their research and studies. That being said, if you are looking to just 'rent a room' and not have any interaction or participate in creating a sense of community, this may not be the right fit for you. I have had students request to stay for additional years after being here for only a few months. Residents have come from around the world and have enjoyed living in an American home with a sense of community. Any serious applicants will be provided with contact information to speak with previous housemates.
