Our house is located in a residential location right on the bike path!
We are on a street tucked away from major traffic, within walking distance to both the Williamson Street neighborhood and the East Johnson Street neighborhoods which are full of restaurants, supermarkets, shopping boutiques, and more.
While Downtown and it's lively State Street are only a few minutes drive, bus or bike ride away, Madison's favorite Near East Side neighborhood has a lot to offer from coffee shops, to parks, to second hand stores and yoga studios. Some of our favorites include Willy Street Coop grocery store (4 blocks away), St Vincent the Paul second hand store (4 blocks) the Weary Traveler with its infamous bad breath burger (5 blocks) and Ha Long Bay restaurant (5 blocks) on Williamson Street, the convenient EVP coffee shop around the corner, as well as the celebrated Forequarter bar and restaurant (7 blocks) , Salvatore's Tomato Pies (5 blocks ) and the fine Johnson Public Coffee House (5 blocks) on East Johnson Street.
Our street has plenty of safe, free street parking, and is close to major bus routes and access to the bike path. We are located on the near East Side, close to Capitol square, Downtown and UW Campus. In walking distance of E Johnson and Willy Street businesses, coffee shops and restaurants.
There are Madison B-cycle bike rental hubs within walking distance to us.
