Our three-bedroom bungalow-style house is 1750 square feet with hardwood floors. Ample living spaces include a living room with built-in bookshelves, sunroom with sky lights, dining room, and den/TV room. The kitchen has been nicely updated. The large master bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor with a shower and jet tub – nice for a hot soak and it fits two people. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are upstairs. Laundry (washer and dryer) are on the main floor. We have wireless internet.
The house is available March 20 to approx. May 30 (end date flexible).
Our backyard is a wonderful oasis, fully fenced and private with a screen porch for outdoor meals. We also have a deck with yard chairs for lounging outside when the weather is nice. We don’t have a sidewalk so you don’t have to worry about shoveling the sidewalk (a Madison requirement in winter). We have no pets.
The house is located in a wonderful neighborhood that is convenient by bike and bus to all campuses. Several buses have a stop one block from here (3, 19 and 58 that run east directly to the UW campus and downtown, or west in several directions, and in the mornings there is a bus every 5-10 minutes). We are a block from the Southwest bike path which also runs to campus and downtown. We are a block from the Glenwood Children’s park which has a playground and wooded area. We are just 1.5 blocks from the Arboretum which has walking trails to bubbling springs and woods. We are one block from a restaurant and corner store with a pharmacy. We are a 10-minute walk from a cluster of restaurants, coffeeshops, and stores on Monroe Street.
