I live in a spacious apartment just north of the Capitol with 3 housemates. I'm subletting my room from June 21 to August 15 (dates are somewhat flexible).
The house has hardwood floors in the common areas, tons of natural light, a front porch and back patio, dishwasher, and laundry.
My room also has wood floors and a large closet. You'd share a bathroom with one other person. The room is 14.5x11.
It's a short walk to UW campus, and right on the Gorham/Johnson buslines. There's street parking.
We pay the electric bill (~$15/month); heat and water are included in the rent. There's no AC; the house stays cool pretty far into the summer; at the end of July and August we use fans. Our neighborhood's busy, but we never hear it inside---the house is pretty soundproof. No pets allowed. There's no smoking in the apartment.
We keep the house somewhere near the midpoint of relaxed and clean. Because of work, we try to keep noise level low after 9:30 or so during the week; otherwise, totally fine to have people over, grill outside, etc.
Please feel free to email with questions.
