This charming Dutch colonial house is located in one of Madison’s loveliest and best-located neighborhoods: Shorewood Hills. It is walking distance to Picnic Point (and nearby walking trails), Lake Mendota, Shorewood Hills Elementary School, Shorewood Hills swimming pool, tennis courts, as well as Whole Foods, Copps grocery store, Walgreen’s drug store, and many independent/chain coffee shops, restaurants, and stores. Hilldale Shopping Mall is also in walking distance. It is also near a number of bus stops. This is an ideal near-west location for visiting scholars to UW-Madison as it is a beautiful ~35 minute walk, a ~15 minute bike ride, and a ~10 minute drive to UW-Madison’s campus (depending on your speed and traffic).
The house has 3 bedrooms, a bright converted attic which can be used as an office or family room, 2 bathrooms (one upstairs and one in the basement), a newly renovated kitchen (with a nook), living room, dining room, a converted basement, and garage (for storage only). The house is fully furnished, has a piano, and a sliding glass door that leads onto a wooden deck and a lush, green, beautiful backyard.
Renters will take care of our 6-year old indoor-outdoor cat, Finnian (who, sadly, we can’t take with us in our short-term apartment overseas). For renters who want to bring their own pets, this is negotiable.
Rental time frame, from ~mid December 2016 or January 1, 2017-July 2017 (roughly 8 months)
$2,100/month plus amenities, negotiable
