Rooms for rent in Spacious West Side Home: $635/month/person - Madison - short term or long-term lease starting the second week in January.
Looking for a quiet, forested space in the city? Like wandering wild turkeys, hammocks, grill cooking, or being close to the shopping, restaurants and entertainment at Hillsdale? On Sabbatical in Madison? This near west side neighborhood could be yours.
There a couple of renting options. For individuals looking for rooms rent is $635/month/person - short term or long-term lease starting the second week in January.
Alternatively, the 3-bedroom upper level and main living level can be rented for around $2100/month. The separate garden level would be owner occupied. Some appliances would be shared. Please contact me to discuss this option. This option accommodates sabbatical stays for several people.
Generally speaking I like to get to know people and believe sharing resources lightens the burden on the earth. I am looking for housemates (men or women). Location is roughly Regent St. and Kenosha Dr. The house is close to Research Park, UW Hospitals, many UW Graduate schools and is an easy commute to Epic. The number 14 bus line, a few steps away, takes Regent Street past UW-Health, the UW Campus and on to the Capital. All utilities are included in the rent. The terraced lot has many trees and colorful spring wildflowers.
The tri-level mid-century home has a variety of bedrooms, three on the upper level and two on the garden level. One of the two newly remodeled rooms on the garden level would be quite comfortable for two. There is a separate exterior entrance to the garden level with bathrooms on both levels. All the standard appliances are here including washer and dryer. The basement allows extra storage. Street and driveway parking are available. The rooms are unfurnished but I have some extra furniture that may be useful. Or I may be able build something.
I am a mature male professional, work full time, have a graduate degree and keep myself busy with reading, hobbies (furniture making, home improvement, rock hunting, and camping) and exercise (swim, ice skate, bike, and paddle sports). I lived in Northern Europe for a couple of years and enjoy meeting people from around the world. If there is interest, we can organize a weekly meal. I need to be gluten free so someone who bakes a lot would not be a good match. I tend to be creative, enjoy meeting people, and am easy to talk to.
If you’re interested, tell me a bit about yourself and we can set up a tour and I can provide pics. Please provide contact info (phone number and actual email). Thanks for your consideration.
