I'm a former high school English teacher now employed full time at UW-Madison, and I have had the pleasure of sharing my home with people of many nationalities and cultures since 1990. This room is one of two furnished rental rooms in my cozy 3-bedroom private home. I am conveniently close to campus but away from downtown noise and congestion in a quiet neighborhood near the intersection of Midvale Boulevard and Odana Road. I have had the pleasure of sharing my home with people of many nationalities and cultures since 1990, so I’m seeking a friendly, tolerant grad student or upperclassman to join my household for now through the 2017-2018 academic year—or beyond if so desired. My house is one block away from the bike path to campus (a 10-minute ride), and there are also 2 bus stops nearby (one is just around the corner, no streets to cross), allowing tenants to reach campus in 10-15 minutes. My two rooms are most often rented to UW grad students, which I prefer; however, I will consider a quiet, studious undergrad. My house is also in a perfect location for those who need to access the Beltline and freeways to travel on weekends.
You’ll find the room generously sized (see pictures) with a large closet, dresser, bed, desk, bookcase and phone stand. A beautiful, newly remodeled attached bathroom with shower for your private use. Utilities (heat/ac, electricity, and water), kitchen privileges (beautifully remodeled with granite counters and all-LG stainless appliances) and laundry privileges, as well as wireless internet, are included in the rent. There is also a private phone line that can be activated at the tenant's expense, but most tenants use their cell phones. A parking place in my extended driveway is also included.
